Qurbani 2017 Feedback

This Eid ul-Adha, IKCA supporters from all over the world donated a total of 7,078 cow shares and 1,516 goats for Qurbani. Translating to 109,000 kgs of meat, you helped us feed over 21,000 families in Pakistan’s poorest communities.

Our 2017 distribution was focused in communities living on the outskirts of Bannu, Peshawar, Multan, Sialkot, Gujranwala and Faisalabad. Your Qurbani reached the most needy: widows, orphans and the elderly poor; families displaced by conflict or disasters; and flood-affected people trying to re-build their lives in devastated areas.

At IKCA, we make no profit on carrying out your Qurbani. Whats more, as a cancer charity, we have our hands full all year round. But where there’s the opportunity to alleviate the hunger of Pakistan’s poorest, we cannot sit idle. IKCA’s annual Qurbani efforts are a service we provide for the dedicated donors and volunteers, who continue to support us. It is also another way for us to give back, by facilitating food aid among the needy.

Breakdown of urban distribution for Eid ul-Adha 2017

IKCA saw a 32% increase in online Qurbani donations in Eid ul-Adha 2017. Your choice to sacrifice with us is testament to the trust we’ve gained, not just as a cancer charity, but as a champion of equality and social responsibility in Pakistan. Thank you. May Allah (swt) bless you and accept your qurbani.
