Lahore Hospital 2023 Update

We opened our first hospital in Lahore in 1994, and 30 years later, it’s still going strong. Its current infrastructure is running at full capacity, which is why we continue to invest in advanced technology and expansion, to be able to accept larger numbers of patients.

The number of cases of most types of cancers are increasing every year in Pakistan. Even though our recent fundraising efforts have focused on building our Karachi hospital, we’ve not neglected our flagship hospital. Here’s an update on new developments at our Lahore Hospital since 2023.

New Equipment
We upgraded an old radiation therapy machine with a new multi-million-dollar linear accelerator. This multi-million-dollar machine replaces an older model and is a major investment allowing us to provide the best possible cancer treatment to all patients. This new technology will cater to the ever-increasing number of cancer patients needing radiation therapy with a high degree of accuracy, precision, and speed.

New Facilities
We opened a new 12-bed admission holding bay to expand capacity and improve patient flow. We also inaugurated our new parking plaza, providing a secure facility that also makes access more convenient for patients and their families.

New Certification
September 2023, we received certification from the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) Certification Programme, which is associated with the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The certification demonstrates our commitment to providing quality treatment to everyone – regardless of their financial situation. You can read more about it here.

New Therapies
We expanded our nuclear medicine services by launching treatment for neuroendocrine cancers with Lu-177 DOTATATE, as well as for metastatic prostate cancer with Lu-177 PSMA (Prostate Specific Membrane Antigen). These innovative therapies have fewer side effects and shorter recovery times. You can find out more about them here.
