Mount Toubkal Challenge 2024

On October 5th, 2024, join us in the Atlas Mountains to climb North Africa’s highest peak, and help Imran Khan Cancer Appeal save lives.

How far would you go to save a life? From October 5th – 10th we’ll be trekking through the heart of the mesmerising Atlas Mountains to raise funds for poor cancer patients in Pakistan.

Mount Toubkal is North Africa’s highest peak. Measuring at 4,167 meters. It beckons thrill-seekers and adventure enthusiasts to scale its majestic summit in Morocco’s breath-taking Toubkal National Park. Join us to make this trip one to remember.

About Mount Toubkal Challenge

On this challenge, we’ll be trekking through picturesque landscapes, traditional Berber villages, and ancient trails. So, you’ll experience the rich tapestry of Moroccan culture while pushing yourself to new heights. Expert guides, well-versed in the intricacies of the Toubkal region will be with us every step of the way. This seasoned team will ensure our safety, providing valuable insights into the local culture, and assist you in navigating the diverse terrain.

Throughout the journey, you’ll forge new friendships to become part of a community of like-minded adventurers. Share stories, laughter, and the triumph of reaching the summit together, with a diverse group of individuals who, like you, have accepted the challenge of Mount Toubkal.

For the Toubkal Challenge, experience is necessary and participants are advised to train in advance! To qualify you must have done some mountain trekking previously or taken part in some of Imran Khan Cancer Appeal’s local treks.

Fundraising Target and Costs

Raise £1,350 and only pay for international flights plus £150 booking deposit.

This covers the cost of the trek, including:

  • Road transfers (and airport transfers on the day of arrival and departure)
  • Accommodation (twin sharing rooms)
  • Trekking accommodation (twin sharing tents)
  • Meals throughout the trek
  • All camping site fees and bridge fees
  • Government trekking permit fees and paper-work
  • Fees for licenced professional guides and support staff
  • Snacks and drinking water refills
  • Basic first aid
  • An achievement certificate upon completion

Our team will work closely with you to achieve your fundraising target. In the past, most of our participants have raised much more than the minimum fundraising target. So don’t be apprehensive about setting yourself a high target.

The full sum of your minimum fundraising target must be raised by 1st September 2024.


Registration and International Flights

The entry deadline for this challenge is the 1st August 2024.

You are responsible for booking your tickets to Morocco to join the challenge on October 5th. We find that some participants often fly in from different parts of the world and even prefer to extend their holiday beyond the trek.

Please note that we will need to receive a copy of your flight tickets/itinerary with booking confirmation no later than September 1st 2024. Please ensure that you are in Morocco 5th October, as there will be a trek briefing in the evening. You can depart anytime on 10th October or any day thereafter.
