By working together, we increased new patient admissions to Shaukat Khanum Hospital by 4.3%. We carried out 6.7% more pathology tests and 9.5% more imaging studies. We increased our outpatient visits by 10%. And we helped our patients brave 80,452 radiotherapy sessions, 79,741 chemotherapy sessions, 17,942 surgical procedures, and over 50 bone marrow transplants.
We also witnessed the grit and determination of remarkable individuals and organisations in our volunteer network. For instance, Nadia Sethi, who climbed Scafell Pike to raise funds for needy cancer patients despite living with a chronic health condition herself. And the Pak UK Fusion Society, under the leadership of Rubina Khan, who organised our first ever ‘Pink Walk’ awareness event in Birmingham, UK, and successfully raised over £100,000 at a charity dinner!
