I started working at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH) 20 years ago, as a driver. Eventually I moved onto working in the pathology department. Every day I come into work feeling like someone with an important purpose, who can help others. The respect I get from all the staff members energizes me and I feel ageless, though I am now in my fifties. Patients who are treated here with care and respect, become ambassadors of SKMCH. Where ever they go, they talk proudly about this hospital and tell other people about the high standard of care, and the facilities which were provided to them when they were being treated for cancer. This hospital is like my home and all the staff here is my family. I wish to keep working here for the rest of my life.
