IKCA at the Manchester Mega Mela

This weekend past, Plat Fields held the biggest celebration of South Asian culture in the North of England, and we were there! The Manchester Mega Mela is a celebration of the sights, sounds and spicy aromas of South Asia. With a turn out of nearly 70,000 people from all cultures and religions, the two day festival was not to be missed.

Representing IKCA at the mela was our veteran volunteer, Mr. Pakistan. Donning his familiar green and white costume, with iconic top-hat and painted face, Mr. Pakistan was a sight to behold. He and our team of wonderful volunteers manned a stall decked with goody bags for donors and IKCA t-shirts.

Thank you to everyone who helped out and visited our stall over the weekend. Thank your your ongoing support and donations. Be sure to follow IKCA on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more on the events and festivals we’ll be at over the summer.
