20 Years of Free Cancer Care

Before Imran Khan Cancer Appeal (IKCA) Pakistan had a dearth of resources when it came to treating cancer. While free cancer care for the poor who could not afford it, was an unfeasible dream. Together, we’ve not only changed the dire reality facing cancer patients in this part of the world, but we’ve also proved that when all human life is valued equally, free treatment for the poor is not impossible.

In two decades Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH) has provided 1,693,712 free treatments for cancer patients. We’ve spent £264,035,549 towards cancer care services, and saved 101,805 lives. This December we’re opening a second hospital in Peshwar, to extend our outreach.

Without your help, support and generosity, none of it would have been possible. Without you, we wouldn’t be here today. Thank you for your support over the years. Together we’ve proved that cancer isn’t incurable, and free cancer care in Pakistan isn’t impossible.
