Emergency Ramadan Appeal

IKCA are fighting on two fronts now: Cancer and the virus. As the pandemic sweeps the globe, Shaukat Khanum Hospital is mobilising to tackle what could become a national crisis. We need your support not just during Ramadan 2020, but beyond. Can you help us?

On March 25th 2020, Prime Minister Imran Khan (PM) appointed Dr Faisal Sultan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Shaukat Khanum Hospital, as his lead and focal person for the virus. This follows a recent surge in confirmed cases in Pakistan, which has reached 1,526 people (as published by The Nation on March 29 2020.)

Shaukat Khanum Hospital has been designated as a testing hub for the virus. We need to deliver 10,000 free tests daily to the local population. We continue to scale up preparations at the hospital to deal with the rapidly growing number of cases in Pakistan. Therefore, in this blessed month of Ramadan, we rely more on your prayers and your support.

“My worry is food and hunger. If it spreads, we will all have problems with our health facilities. We just don’t have that capability. We just don’t have the resources.” Imran Khan (PM)

Amidst the chaos of the pandemic, we ask that you keep our cancer patients and staff in your thoughts and prayers during Ramadan 2020. For the last 25 years you have trusted us with your Zakat and Sadaqah. Now more than ever we need your support.

Most importantly your Zakat and Sadaqah can help save thousands of lives this Ramadan. You can help vulnerable cancer patients under increasing threat because of the virus..

Give Equipment to protect our medical staff

At this time of crisis, we rely heavily on our doctors and medical staff. They are working long hours, under difficult conditions on the forefront of this battle against the virus, and we must protect them from contracting it, especially during Ramadan.
