Allah Almighty will say on the Day of Resurrection: “O son of Adam, I asked you for food but you did not feed Me. He will say: My Lord, how can I feed You when You are the Lord of the worlds? Allah will say: Did you not know that My servant asked you for food but you did not feed him, and had you fed him you would have found Me with him?” (Muslim)
The practice of giving food to others began in the earliest days of Islam. The Sahabah, the companions of the Prophet (ﷺ), would share their meals with those in need before eating themselves.
You can continue this tradition by providing meals for the less fortunate during Ramadan. Many of them rely on the food programmes we support through Shaukat Khanum in Pakistan.
A donation of £50 can help provide meals for 10 days. With £150, you can help feed someone for the entire month. Your generosity will be counted as Sadaqah, a voluntary charity.

We would like to reassure our donors that Shaukat Khanum accounts are operating as normal, with no restrictions in place. Our founder is unable to make an appeal for those who rely on our support through Shaukat Khanum in Pakistan. In his absence, you can continue to provide meals for them as we prepare for the opening of Shaukat Khanum Karachi in December 2026.
A 31-Year Tradition of Providing Nourishment
For 31 years, your giving has helped provide meals for those who rely on our support through Shaukat Khanum in Pakistan. Each meal shared brings comfort and ease to someone in need when it matters most.
Your support also extends to family members staying alongside their loved ones. They receive Suhoor and Iftar during Ramadan, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner if they are not fasting or at other times of the year.
Meals are currently shared through Shaukat Khanum facilities in Lahore and Peshawar. When the Karachi facility opens this December, your generosity will reach even more people, Insha’Allah.

Support Through Fidyah, Kaffarah & Fitrana
We accept Fidyah, Kaffarah, and Fitrana (Zakat ul Fitr) donations during Ramadan. In Islam, these forms of charity help make food provisions available to those in need.
Fidyah and Kaffarah are given when fasting or oaths are missed or broken. Fitrana is paid before Eid so that everyone can share in its blessings. You can read more about the specific conditions of each in our simple guide.
Give online and help support those who rely on us across Pakistan. Give your Fitrana early so we can prepare special meals in time for Eid.
