What Is Qurbani And Who Is Eligible To Give It?

It is neither their flesh nor their blood that reaches Allah; it is your piety that reaches Him. (Holy Qur’an 22:37)

Qurbani marks the test of faith and obedience shown by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his son Ismail (AS).

It is observed each year during Eid al-Adha and remains an important part of Islamic tradition.

The four main schools of thought agree that Qurbani is either wajib (necessary) or sunnah mu’akkada (highly recommended) for those who:

  • Have reached the age of puberty.
  • Are of sound mind.
  • Have wealth above the Nisab threshold.

In most cases, if you are eligible to give Zakat, you are also eligible to give Qurbani.

Help us continue this time-honoured tradition. Book online or speak to our team at +44 (0)1274 424 444 during office hours.

Draw Inspiration from the Prophet (ﷺ) on Eid al-Adha

Qurbani Prices

It is reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) lived modestly and often went without food for days. Yet, when it came to Eid al-Adha, he made two sacrifices from the finest livestock. One was for himself, and the second was on behalf of someone who could not afford to make their own. This was a Sunnah practised by some of the Sahaba.

Fair Value Commitment

Qurbani pricing can change each year as transport and animal-feed expenses rise.

We work with trusted halal abattoirs to keep your donation fair. They follow clear standards for animal welfare, hygiene, and service at every stage of the sacrifice.
