Sumaira Yousaf: I was the first patient admitted to SKMCH when it first opened. And Today I'm a Marketing Coordinator here.

“When I say that the hospital staff is very caring, dedicated and friendly, I’m speaking from my experience as a patient and as a member of the team.”

I’ve been working as a Marketing Coordinator at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH) for five years. But in actual fact, I have been with SKMCH since it’s inception, 20 years ago. I was the first patient admitted here when the hospital first opened, and at the time I was given the chance to inaugurate its opening.

When I say that the hospital staff is very caring, dedicated and friendly, I’m speaking from my experience as a patient and as a member of the team. Also, the environment is great, which is very important.

Cancer is a deadly and difficult disease to beat. It can destroy a person physically and mentally. But the patients find real comfort here. The genuine care and comfort they receive from the medical staff, boosts their morale and helps their recovery. I am proud to be a part of SKMCH.
