Qurbani with Confidence

Qurbani With Confidence

At Imran Khan Cancer Appeal, we are committed to upholding the highest standards when processing your Qurbani order.

From the moment you place your order to distributing the meat, we make every effort to ensure your Qurbani is delivered in line with the Sunnah. We even take steps to maintain the environment by collecting and recycling the leftover animal hides.

Placing Your Order

Our staff are committed to helping you get the best value for your Qurbani. We have a long-standing relationship with local farms and abattoirs, allowing us to offer highly competitive prices. Selecting Your Animal

We take extra care to ensure that the livestock we purchase on your behalf is healthy, of the right age, and without any flaws that could make your Qurbani void. Our staff personally visit the farms we work with and carefully inspect every animal.

STRICT SUPERVISION

On the first day of Eid, after Salah (prayer) has been performed, your Qurbani animal is slaughtered under strict supervision and according to the Shari’ah ruling on halal. The entire process is carried out in a humane and ethical manner in the best quality abattoirs.

We do not work with cheap slaughterhouses, where bad practices, poor conditions or a lack of monitoring could make your Qurbani invalid.

Cheap slaughterhouses are often a place of distress for animals, which does not align with the Sunnah.

Processing And Packaging

The meat from your Qurbani is divided into portions of 5-10 kg and carefully frozen to maintain freshness. It is then packaged and transported under controlled temperatures to some of the poorest neighbourhoods in Pakistan. All the necessary precautions are taken to ensure the meat reaches needy families in perfect condition, even in the hot summer months when it can spoil quickly.

82,000 FAMILIES IN 2022

Thanks to your generosity last year, we were able to bring hope and sustenance to some of Pakistan’s most impoverished communities.

Your donations allowed us to distribute 492,000 kgs of meat to over 82,000 families.

The price you paid for your Qurbani covered the full cost of the animal, the supervised sacrifice, and the distribution of the meat. We made no profit on your order.

LEFTOVER ANIMAL HIDES

After Eid ul-Adha, there is a surplus of animal hides left over from all the thousands of Qurbanis performed across Pakistan. These are normally buried, or otherwise badly disposed of, but our staff take to the streets each year to collect and sell them for a small profit.

The money raised from this clean-up drive is put back into Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, so that we can offer free cancer treatment to even more people in need.
