Fifteen Fundraise for Cancer Patients in Pakistan

What does Mount Snowdon, web design, and cancer in Pakistan have in common? Some fantastic people with very big hearts.

OllieWe hope you like our new website. A lot of love went into it. And a lot of hard work too. From the Imran Khan Cancer Appeal (IKCA) team to the hardworking folks at Hendrix Media; from Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH) staff to our design-savvy friends at Fifteen, we’ve all worked around the clock to make IKCA’s new cyber-home very special. But an extra big thank you is due to Fifteen, the design and brand agency in Ilkeston, who went further than the extra mile for our charity. They didn’t just do an excellent job designing the site, they went and climbed Snowden to boot.

While working with us, Fifteen staff were moved by IKCA’s vital work for cancer patients in Pakistan. And when they found out about our 3 Peaks Challenge (3PC) for 2015, they felt compelled to take part. Rising to the task, Fifteen Managing Director, Ollie Piddubriwnyj signed up for the Snowdon leg of 3PC.

On the 11th of April, Ollie embarked on his climb. With the weather on his side, he completed the trek in just under 4 hours. “The more we found out about the work that the IKCA do, the more determined we became to get involved,” he said afterwards. “It’s such a worthwhile cause, and the ache tomorrow will be worth having raised so much money for them.”

Ollie pledged to raise £1,000 for cancer patients in Pakistan, and the donations are still rolling in. If you’d like to donate to the cause, you still can at: www.justgiving.com/olesh. If you’ve been inspired by Fifteen and Ollie, and want to take part in 3PC yourself, there’s still time sign up for two more mountains. Meanwhile, from all of us here at IKCA, Thank you Fifteen.
